2. How are improper fractions and mixed numbers the same?

A mixed number is a whole number and a fraction. Like

5 1/3 is a mixed number

An Improper Fraction is when the numerator is more than it's denominator.

4/3 is an Improper Fraction.

Improper fractions and mixed numbers are the same because you can make an improper fraction to a mixed fravtion and a mixed fraction to an improper fraction.

3. Find a website or blog that explains how to create equivalent fractions or write fractions in lowest terms. Create a link to it and a brief description of what the site has to offer.

this site has a lot of stuff in it! It tells you what an equivalent fraction means and a lot more other stuff related to fractions. On the bottom of the page theres this thing that if you press one of the fractions it'll tell you what other equivalent fraction it's equivalent to. And if you go all they to the bottom you can play a games.

4. a)Write a word problem that involves adding these two fractions with denominators of fourths and thirds and your answer is an improper fraction.

Ben has 3 1/3 cookies. Bob has 6 2/4. If Bob gives 3 1/2 cookies to Ben, how many cookies does Bob and Ben have now?

this web has like a lot of useful info about adding and subtracting fractions. it's a really good website ^-^
