*introducing! growing post part two!

B 1. This shape is a square that has side lengths of 5 cm. This shape represents 5/6 of a total. Use this square to show the fraction 9/5. You can
use diagrams, words, symbols to show your understanding.(copy the picture into your post and change it as you see fit!!)
I hope this is right lol.

L 2. What happens when you multiply fractions? Use both a numerical and pictorial example to show our understanding of this concept.

What happens? When you multiply 2 fractions all you do is multiply the numerator with the other numerator and then you multiply the denominator with the other denominator. and there it is! Heres an example.

Also! To multiply a fraction by a whole number, write the whole number as an improper fraction with a denominator of 1, then multiply as fractions. Heres an example.

O 3. Find a website or blog that shows you how to multiply fractions. Create a link to this fraction site (highlight a word you want to be a link,
click the link button, paste your url into the pop up that appears). Be sure to leave a brief 3 sentence description to the site.

G 4. What happens when you divide fractions? Use both a numerical and pictorial example to show our understanding of this concept.

When you divide fractions you flip the second fraction so it would be easier. Then you multiply the two fractions. Here is an example.
But! If you want to find how to divide fractions with a mixed number heres another example.

G 5. Find a website or blog that shows you how to divide fractions. Create a link to this fraction site (highlight a word you want to be a link, click

5 daisies = $5
3 1/2 lillies = $3.50 ( .50 because 50cents is half a dollar.)

all together that is $8.50
you brought 10.00 with you. so you subtract:

10.00 - 8.50 = $1.50

your change will be $1.50

is that right? (:

$1 for 5 lilies = $5
$1 for 3 daisies = $3
1/2 a daisy = $0.50 so 3 1/2 daisies = $3.50

5.00 + 3.50 = 8.50

You have $10.00 and you used $8.50
your change is $1.50

:)

Well... you have $10.00 and when you add $5.00 and $3.50, you'r total is $ 8.50.

So... $10.00 - $ 8.50 is equals to $ 1.50.

okay. so 5 lillies is 5 dollars.

3 daises are 3 dollars.

we need half a daisy so it will be .50 cents.

so 5 dollars plus 3. 50 is 8. 50

8.50 - 10.00= 1.50

your change will be 1.50

So 5+3 1/2 =8 1/2
Its like saying $8.50
So $10.00 - $8.50 = $1.50 or 1 1/2 of the change is yours... i guess=P

so if lilies are a dollar each, you would need $5 for 5 lilies.
for 3 1/2 daisies you would need $3.00 and 50 cents. add $5 to $3.50 its equal to $8.50

and you brought $10.00, now subtract $8.50 to $10.00 and you would get $ 1.50

You would have $1.50 left.

$5.00 + $3.50 = $8.50

so if you have $10.00 and you spent $8.50, your would be $1.50
